Heel the Soul Walk: Sigma Sigma Rho Sorority, Inc. for 3 years now has hosted the Heel the Soul Walk at several campuses including Florida State University, University of Georgia, and University of Texas-Dallas. Heel the Soul Walk is a one-mile walk to heal the souls of abused women in our community. Our exclusive event caters to the population of domestically abused women within the specific communities where we host the walks. The “Heel the Soul Walk” is a unique event. It is open to the public and participants are encouraged to complete the walk in high heels, which symbolize the painful shoes an abused victim walks in each day of her life. A forum also takes place after the one-mile walk, with special presentations by speakers from the organizations where our profits are donated.
